Framing-- here is my mom smiling at me from between the plants on our back porch. I like it because the plants kind of frame her face, and it looks unconventional.
Here, I attempted a "fill the frame" technique- with a little bit of framing. I thought it came out cool- her face is a little blurry and the focus goes to the vine around the post, but I kind of liked that.
Rule of thirds--
This is a picture of my mom and dogs in my backyard. I like the posts on the gate, and how they divide the picture into sections. The subjects are in the first third of the picture.
