It has been said that a person’s thoughts can be ascertained by looking into his or her eyes. We are able to see their true emotions, hidden thoughts and attitudes. Therefore, the eyes act as a window to the soul—a channel into a new dimension. They are our communication tool without having to say anything.
The eye shows confidence. When looking someone in the eye, it reassures the other person or acts as an intimidation tool when staring someone down. The eye acts as a symbol, serving as a meaning for so many things.
For my project, I wanted to show the true emotion and feelings of the eye without having the distractions of other facial features. The eyes are now the focus of the face and picture. By making the pictures all the same color, I wanted the subjects to all be relatable.
Now, the pictures serve as a reflection into our own souls, making us rethink the way we live and think.
