Trey Mabray - Imitation Assignment

Annie Leibovitz has a very distinct style of photography. She uses washed out, muted colors with dramatic, often dark lighting only highlighting the subject of the photograph. Her subjects almost always include people, mostly portraits of famous people.

In my photographs, I imitated Leibovtiz’s style, not in subject matter, but with the use of muted colors and dramatic lighting. The lighting highlights the subject matter, showing off its intricate detail. The colors seem muted because of the strong light reflecting off the sand making the subject matter to appear washed out.
