I took this photo at a leadership retreat in the Starlight Terrace of the Student Union. I liked the light because it was multidimensional with full length windows on her left serving to highlight here hair and make it glow and show texture. The light is soft on her face creating enough shadow to provide a 3dimensional appearance. Also, interesting about the room is the fact that there are skylights which directed light in from above. The shallow depth of field allows one to focus on her captured in a moment in time. I enjoy capturing candid shots and emotions, especially through closeups. The fact that those out of focus are attentive to something else emphasizes that something has drawn her focus away. I took this from an angle level with her so that the light would off out of focus people in the background and to avoid the skylights darkening her face or blowing out the exposure.
