District Bicycles - Downtown Stillwater

District Bicycle Shop is located in downtown Stillwater, Okla.
District is owned by Bobby and Crystal Wintle.

District Bicycle Shop was started on October 27, 2011, by Bobby and his wife Crystal Wintle.
"We started the bike shop because we wanted to cultivate community." Bobby said.
Bobby and Crystal met in late 2004, just about a year after Crystal got into biking with her father, Billy Carnaham. Bobby had never biked before but was persuaded into biking a 38 mile trail with Crystal and her father. "Crystal, was really the one who got me interested in biking, I completely fell in love during that ride. I didn't want to stop." Bobby said. "I went home after that ride, dived right in and learned as much as I could about it."
Bobby is a busy man. As a small business owner and father of two, there is always something to be done. Bobby is running out to a school meeting for his little girl, Emory. Running behind but still cutting it up with his Employees John Mattingly and Preston Tyler.
Austin White (Top) and Preston Tyler (Bottom) work on bikes for multiple customers.
They are most often just fixing small problems, but occasionally they perform custom builds.
Bobby, preparing for Friday night social, where riders and anyone else who wants to join; come to District to drink beer and enjoy good company.
"District is all about community. Creating a connection with people. Somewhere people can be loved on. No competition, no one-upping, just a community. We are a family."

Bobby, and customer Michael Rosson share embrace and friendly "smirks" before quickly exchanging beer. When asked if he would ever move, or expand the company Bobby quickly shook his head. "Stillwater is where God has us now, and I can't imagine doing this anywhere else." Bobby said.

Friday night social attracts multiple locals, plenty of beer, delicious snacks, and never ending conversations.

Adam has mentioned multiple times how much he enjoys the community that District has brought together in downtown Stillwater.
Bobby's son Elliot enjoys a sippy cup full of milk and his father puts the finishing touches on a custom build.

Bobby and Crystal woke up early just to open the doors for this group from California, riding cross-country for world health. They were a lively, passionate group who immediately fell in love with District.

Monday night ride starts at 6 P.M. for both road and gravel riders.
