I chose to do my project on an OSU Student and Senior Taylor Barnett. I found out she recently got into grad school and thought it would be a cool idea to tell a little of her personal story as well as her educational one.
OSU Senior Taylor Barnett and her best friend friend Josie hanging out before her psychology course in the Classroom building.
Taylor Barnett recieved her acceptance letter to grad school and will start next fall. She will be going for her Master of Science Degree in School Counseling.
After receiving her grad school acceptance later, Taylor's friends took her out to celebrate at Subway, one of their favorite restaurants, before leaving to go and find a place to live together while she continues her studies at OSU.
After hours of looking through houses, Taylor Barnett signs a lease for her new home.
Taylor's friends review the lease before signing off.
Taylor and her friends pose in front of their new home, feeling overjoyed despite signing away their lives. They will move here in August.
A few days later, Taylor made copies of her graduation invitations to send off and this was the end result.
After making the invitations and sending them off, Taylor relaxes and plays Cards against Humanity with a group of family and friends.
The next day, Taylor's professor asked those who are graduating to come up and make a speech about their future plans. Taylor addressed the class and told them about her work at the Payne County Youth Shelter and that she plans to continue working there and eventually counsel teenagers.
Taylor and her friends brain storm some ideas for a skit they were writing for her Japanese class.
Taylor never goes anywhere without her Japanese dictionary close by. She calls it "her bible."
On the Friday after her finishing her skit for Japanese, Taylor and her friends let off some steam and hang out at Tokyo Pot.
Taylor attends her grad school orientation and learns about what will be expected of her as a graduate student versus what was expected as an undergrad. She quickly learns the stakes are much higher than she thought, but is still determined to go in the fall.
Taylor tries on her cap and gown after getting them from the school and poses in her room with her Kingdom Key of Light, (a prop from the video game Kingdom hearts) and her action figures and posters in the background. Congrats Taylor!
